Hire Houston Youth
Application: 2/10/2020 - 4/8/2020
Hire Houston Youth offers youth ages 16 to 24 internship and job opportunities throughout the Houston area. All positions offer at least 7 weeks of employment, and employers are asked to compensate youth at least $9.00 an hour. Most opportunities begin June 8, 2020 and end July 30, 2020 (estimated dates).
Rice DCC Physics Camp
Application: 2/1/2020 - 4/2020
In collaboration with Design Connect Create, Rice Office of STEM Engagement offers a free, two-week day camp for current (2019-2020) 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th grade girls. Students must plan to take their first physics course in the fall of 2020 and be registered at a Houston ISD school.
CAMP STREAM
Registration opens 5/4/2020 at 8 AM
Camp STREAM is a free, fun-filled summer program offered by Houston Public Library for kids and teens of all ages. Kids participate in interactive STREAM activities each day of the week. Camp Stream will rotate in six HPL locations in 2020. Registration is limited to one location per participant.
Houston Youth Tennis
Spring: 3/23/2020 - 5/25/2020
HPARD’s Houston Youth Tennis Program (also referred to as the National Junior Tennis & Learning or HTA-NJTL) is a FREE, year-round program that offers basic tennis instruction to registered participants ages 4-18. The program and instruction is offered at parks across the city.
